MSSA Culture Results and Antibiotic Resistance Profiles by Momo
A scientific study titled “Active Surveillance Cultures and Targeted Decolonization Are Associated with Reduced Methicillin-Susceptible Staphylococcus aureus Infections in VLBW Infants”, performed by members of the Medical University of Vienna, Austria, and published in Neonatology, cites Momo as the basic tool applied to analyze methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) culture results and their associated antibiotic resistance profiles. Momo’s database contains all microbiological results collected from patients of the Vienna General Hospital, the main teaching hospital of the Medical University of Vienna. They are available in structured format, i.e., any data item from the microbiological report can be separately accessed, and allow detailed analyses with these data.
