Microbiology Analytics with Momo
Monitoring and Reporting Pathogens & AMR

FAST CLINICAL TOOL

Be aware of all pathogens and resistances present in your ward. Have immediate overview of all results for one patient or department. Create and share weekly reports.

EMR & LABORATORY INTEGRATION

Doctors can access patient or department overviews with just one click. Laboratories can include Momo‘s graphics and analyses in their outgoing reports.

INFECTION CONTROL

Access a patient’s or a department’s recent resistance history. Monitor trends and avoid epidemics in your hospital.

AMR SITUATION & HISTORY

View a pathogen’s AMR pattern and the change of resistance over time. Compare the effectiveness of several antimicrobial agents.

REPORTS & BENCHMARKING

Create mandatory AMR reports or use Momo in medical research projects. Images and .csv files can be exported to programs like Excel for your specific purposes.

LAB RESULTS

Momo can work with bacteria and fungi including AMR profiles, PCR results, serology results, toxins, microscopy results, miscellaneous remarks, and many more.

Certified as medical device software in accordance with EU IVD Directive 98/79/EC.

How it works

Momo gives clinicians a one-click overview on all pathogens and antimicrobial resistances for one patient or ward – in real time. Momo OneClick can be accessed by clicking a button on your hospital, intensive care, or laboratory information system’s user interface. With Momo Full-Fledged, you get a powerful microbiology & virology analytics tool with 59 possible query parameters. It allows maximum flexibility for clinical, QM, epidemiological, and research queries.

We developed Momo in order to give a concise overview of all microbiological and virological data in hospitals – without loosing any information. All the data from the laboratory and hospital information systems (test results, clinical data, comments, …) is channeled into Momo automatically, sorted, and incorporated into the Momo ontology.

Access Momo OneClick from your EHR's user interface
Single patient or ward overview with just one click

Momo OneClick

Given a particular patient or ward, Momo OneClick immediately retrieves all microbiological data from this patient or ward and presents it in a dense, yet clear and attractive graphical form. Alert-worthy findings can be emphasized.

Momo OneClick can easily be accessed from inside medical information systems such as electronic health record (EHR) systems, intensive care and laboratory information systems (IS), medical practice software systems, and others.

User-friendly analytics and reporting tool
Use Momo Full-Fledged for microbiology & virology analytics, mandatory or custom reports, and benchmarking.

Momo Full-Fledged

Use the Momo database filled with all available microbiological and clinical data to answer clinical, epidemiological, research, and QM questions. With our highly customizable queries and 59 query parameters, there are a lot of application possibilities – concerning hospital hygiene, hospital administration, cost reduction, and many more.

Key tasks of Momo can be monitoring pathogen occurrence across different hospital units—especially multi-drug resistant germs—, cost control regarding test orders and antibiotic consumption, showing the complete antimicrobial resistance situation for one patient or ward, or showing how the resistance of a pathogen to an antibiotic/antimycotic has changed over time. Flexible charts allow to compare the effectiveness of several agents. Charts and reports can be exported.

FHIR

The latest version of Momo adopts FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) as its internal data structure. This HL7 industry standard enhances interoperability, making Momo easily integrable into diverse healthcare IT environments.

Ontologies

Momo’s ontology is filled automatically with microbiological and virological findings (including textual comments from the original PDF findings) and can be edited and sorted manually – a heterarchical structure is also possible, which is ideal for handling complex queries on multi-resistant germs such as P. Aeruginosa 3MRGN/4MRGN, for example, or for sending alerts and reminders.

Reporting

Use Momo’s reporting feature for mandatory AMR reports, internal and QM reports to your hospital‘s administration, or in medical research projects. Images and .csv files can be exported to Excel or similar programs, allowing you to create diagrams and statistics for your specific purposes. Once configured, save frequently used queries as templates for quick retrieval.

Benchmarking

You want to participate in national (e.g., the yearly official Austrian Resistance Report AURES) or international (e.g., The European Surveillance System EARS-Net) benchmarking networks? Discuss with us the regular, time- and cost-saving electronic data export to the requesting national reference centers and to ECDC, Stockholm.
