Momo celebrates 12 years at University Hospital of Vienna
For 12 years now, Momo—a microbiological analytics and clinical tool for reporting pathogens and microbiological resistances—is in constant use at one of the largest hospitals in Europe, the University Hospital of Vienna, Austria. Momo receives structured data from the hospital’s microbiology laboratory and provides clinically useful overviews on microbiological results and allows extended queries on any of these results. At present, the database of Momo comprises about 2 million single microbiological results; the average increase is more than 7000 results weekly. At the point of care, Momo can directly be accessed via OneClick from Philips IntelliSpace Critical Care and Anaesthesia (ICCA) and Oracle Cerner’s i.s.h.med systems. Momo undergoes continuous updates and valuable extensions. Since 17 May 2022, Momo is a declared medical device in accordance with the EU IVD Directive 98/79/EC, annex II. Momo’s acceptance at the University Hospital of Vienna is very high. It is accessed several hundred times a week and rising. We are looking forward to many more successful years with Momo!
